Subject: unusual question
Date: Sat, 7 Oct 2006 15:58:48 +0000

Just throwing out an unusual question as I thought someone may have experienced the same symptoms. I have celac disease and was just diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency, hasimoto's auto immune thyroiditis and pituitary insufficiency. As far as I know ACTH is the only low pituitary value in labs done 10 weeks ago. FSH is high but due to menoause. I have a history of a pituitary adenoma 30 years ago, but all my tests and labs are fine including an MRI of the pituitary and brain with and without contrast in August. All adrenal hormones are low. I don't drive at night often, but was out last night after dark. Every light had a huge sunburst of the same color light around it-white headlights, streetlights, store lights had white sunburst lights around each one-some about three or four stories high. Green lights had green sunbursts, red lights had red sunburts etc. Tiny lights had cirles of lights or two circles of lights around t hem. I was traveling on a very busy city street
and thought I wasn't going to be able to see enough to get home as the sunbursts were interfering with seeing what I needed to see to drive. I got off to the side roads with less lights to try and get home, as I live in a smaller town where most things were closed at 7PM. When I arrived home I got out of the car to be sure it was my eyes and not the windshield which has some little sparkles in it. The sunbursts were the same out of the car. In the day light my eyes are fine.
I was able to get an emergency appt with my eye MD later today. If anyone has info before I leave at 2PM, I would be grateful.
I wanted to ask this group about it as there are lots of weird symptoms that people seem to have with these diagnosis and thought someone might have some insight as I am not even sure an eye MD will know all the strange things that happen with all these endocrine problems.
Thanks for your help or suggestions where I might find some answers.
