It has been known for decades in the RVAF diet world that bacteria are vital for the body - I'm glad that there are more and more studies confirming the benefits of bacteria, therefore. Rawpalaeodieters often consume "high-meat"(aged, raw (grassfed or wild) meat, called "high" because it boosts one's mood/concentration/energy-levels considerably). The idea behind it is that the body destroys 99.0%+ of the bacteria that enter the gut, so that even just eating fresh, raw meats all the time isn't enough to have a proper level of bacteria in the gut, whereas aged, raw meats have a far higher bacteria-count, and there is the further benefit that the huge levels of bacteria help predigest the raw meats so that the body doesn't have to do much work re digestion thereof.
