I just thought I'd share a story with you all about my Mom. My mother
is not a Neanderthinner, and has never read anything about low carb
living, but about twenty years ago, she decided to give up sugar and
sweet foods because it was wrecking her teeth. She based her diet on
fresh fish, cruciferous vegetables, and friut. She did this on her own,
sort of instinctively. She also quit smoking.
She is 60 years old now, and recently went in for a screening mammogram.
The nurse said to her, "You know, you don't really need to be getting
these until you're fourty. " When my Mom told her she was 60, the nurse
didn't believe her!! She flipped through the medical record, saw her
age, and was amazed.
It's incredible what a body can do when you take care of it.
