What issues are you focusing on, if you don't mind my asking? I did
graduate work in Anthropology and have two degrees so I know that when
you write a paper you should focus on one aspect or issue - unless of
course you are writing a book, and I can tell you that researching
issues for adults with CP would fill up several books!
Here is a sampling of issues we deal with:
!) Family relations
2) Long-term medical care
3) Aging with CP
4) Dealing with multiple disabilities. For example, I am not only
mobility-impaired, I am also deafened. There is at least one member of
this list who is blind and I'm sure there are others who have multiple
disabilities.
5) Dealing with society at large and the labels the able-bodied pin on
us and the psychological ramifications
6) CP and the workplace
etc etc - the possibilities are endless! I'm sure if you can ask
specific questions we will be able to help you more. :)
Have a good weekend!
