Hi.

This is very true, and the Comet antennas are even worse.  The one I 
mentioned in an earlier post had a maximum power rating of 120 
watts.  There are almost no multi-band VHF/UHF antennas out there designed 
to handle high power i.e. more than 150 to 200 watts.

I limited the maximum power of my VHF/UHF transmitters to 100 watts on that 
antenna, although I had equipment capable of delivering up to 170 
watts.  In reality, I probably had enough line loss to run between 150 and 
160 watts safely, but didn't feel like pushing it right to the hairy edge.
