Never mind that fabrication of data, fraud or unethical actions may have been committed by the South Korean scientist Dr. Hwang Woo-Suk. Leading South Korean companies and commentators alike think that it is unpatriotic to challenge someone who's given the country a lead in a promising new area such as stem cell research.
Huh?!? Say that again! Overlook possible scientific fabrication, all because the country's prestige would be heightened? My jaws are on the floor.
