¿Donde?  Edgewood College (off of Monroe St.) - Wingra Cafe (2nd floor) Predolin Humanities Building

Lecciones de Baile / Dance Lessons:  

*       Individual dances: such as hip hop, samba line dance, electric slide, and cha cha slide - taught by Tori A. 
*       Couple dances:  merengue, mambo & salsa, bachata - taught by Nan & Dan 
*       Samba? 

Comida:  bring an ethnic or tropical hors d'oeuvre (e.g. fried plantain, tortilla roll-ups, fruit) WITH serving dish & serving utensils; pizza & beverages provided

Musica:  DJ Laurie Mlatawou has been hosting a popular world music show on WORT for 10 years, and regular African/Latin/Caribbean dance parties at Luther's Blues and the Casbah.  She will spin a large variety of Spanish-, French-, and Portuguese-language music (and other languages), and will include dance styles such as merengue, mambo, salsa, samba, zouk, hip hop, dance hall and much more.

Come in costume: we'll have masks for sale and distribute beads

Students with ID - free;   Non-students - $5 donations suggested; Children under 18 must be accompanied by parents

7:00 pm    Shed your coat and don your beads

7:30            Share in some Spanish, Italian, and French songs

8 - 9:00        Dance lessons   

9 - 12:00       Dance party with DJ Laurie  

Tile floor - bring clean shoes that you have good balance in, but that don't stick to the floor - heels not recommended.

Sorry - alcohol is not allowed on campus since we have students who are underage.
