I have a hard time with the "one size fits all" in anything, including
eating. Too, some days I can eat twice the food I ate the day before.
Eating depends on a lot of different factors. Requirements, stress, mood,
attitude. Just sticking to what works and paying attention to what works is
enough for me. If you are having a hard time with Rosedale's guide lines,
just maybe you can increase the meat and be fine with it. Being fine to a
woman is usually the results on her bathroom scale. ;-) Oliva
All very true - thank you. The reason I lowered my protein intake after
reading Rosedale's book and seeing comments about it on this list is because
I was concerned about high glucose levels. However, a hair analysis done by
my doctor indicated high levels of antimony, very high levels of bismuth,
and moderately high levels of tin and uranium. Where I got them I have no
idea - I used to have high levels of mercury, copper, and lead but those are
ok now. If I understand the little blurp the lab gives you on all the metals
that are high then antimony interferes with sulfur chemistry and Cadmium can
exert toxic effects by inhibiting sulfur bearing enzymes and I was wondering
if that's why I am reacting to foods that are naturally high in sulfur. It
also says that Cadmium can inhibit gluconeogenesis and I don't know if that
has anything to do with my fasting glucose level typically being around 99
and having relatively high glucose levels after eating during the day
although my carbs are low.
In addition I was experiencing pain in my head, upper back and calf daily
but it went away after I had a tooth extracted that had a roughly 22 year
old root canal. Before the extraction the crowned tooth above the extracted
tooth started being sensitive to hot/cold and then started hurting
consistently. I wrote about this 2 weeks ago wondering if I should take the
antibiotic. I did, the pain got better, but is now where it was before the
extraction - consistent mild pain and sensitivity to hot/cold. This is on my
right, upper, back. My third tooth from the front on the right is also
sensitive to hot/cold and the crowned tooth I just got in May on the bottom
left is still sensitive to hot/cold and when chewing hard foods.
Incidentally, the pain in my head, back, and calves has now returned and in
addition I have a stuffy nose. I don't know what is going on. I am wondering
if the old house we live in currently (until October) is giving me a chronic
sinus infection (dust, mold, other???) and causing the problems with my
teeth because my dentist can't find anything wrong with the crowned tooth
above the extracted tooth that is hurting consistently now. My fear is that
I will have the tooth extracted and still have pain. The root on the crowned
tooth on the bottom left looked a little bad but the dentist didn't feel it
was bad enough to put a root canal on it (which I wouldn't get anyhow).
Sorry this got so long! I am very confused and don't know what to do or
where to go from here. I can't move so I don't know how I can figure out if
this house is the problem. I just don't want to find myself minus 2 more
teeth, get 3 bridges at $2,100 each and then still have pain.
