Hi Jennifer,

I've taken Unisom but it has been a while. Unfortunately I can't tell you a
lot about it except that it is sold over the counter and can help one stay
asleep. It would probably be wise to speak with a pharmacist to find out
about the effects of long term usage. I don't think it's considered
addictive but of course, any medicine should be researched for any harmful
effects. I find it frustrating to hear how certain medicines can cause the
very side effects it's suppoesd to treat! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful
with information but I can tell you it can help someone stay asleep and give
oneself at least the 8 hours because it will leave you feeling sluggish for
a little while until you eat something. For more detailed instructions
though please check the directions on the package and/or talk with a
pharmacist.
Ruth
