Sharon,
I well remember when Christians, largely fundamentalist, started getting
involved in politics. they organized, we became involved in our local area
caucus meetings, and our church had a big push for people getting
registered. I am not against such organizationalism, but I wondered at the
time, and this was back in the mid seventies, if we weren't losing our focus
then. Likewise with Christian schools. I wondered, when the Christian
school movement went all out, if that was God doing something or pastors who
thought it was a good idea to protect their children from the world. If so,
it has had an opposite effect and the schools went to hell in a hand basket.
My oldest sister would shoot me if she heard me saying this but she's not on
the internet so I'm safe.
Phil.
