Something I failed to mention was that Gretchen said, after she saw the
lightning strike, a small grass fire started.  Somebody must have called it
in because it wasn't long before fire trucks pulled up.  Some young boy,
however, had seen it, and ran outside with a gallon of water and was dumping
it on the small fire.  Here is the interesting part I forgot to mention.
Gretchen said, after the strike, she looked into the sky and there were no
clouds immediately overhead.  They were in the area but the lightning
apparently traveled some distance before hitting the ground.
