ANGEL STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE RECIPE

1 bag GFP Angel Food Cake Mix
1 quart fresh strawberries, stems removed, berries sliced
1 pint heavy cream
3 Tbs. sugar
1 tsp. g-f vanilla

Prepare mix according to package instructions.  Spread into an ungreased
9-x-13-inch pan and bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until the top of the
cake is golden.  Cool in the pan and cut into 12 squares.  Toss strawberries
with 2 Tbs. of sugar.  Reserve.  Whip cream.  Add 1 Tbs. sugar and g-f
vanilla and beat to soft peaks.  Cut each cake square through the center.
Place bottom piece on a plate.  Spoon strawberry mixture over cake and cover
with second layer.  Top with dollop of whipped cream and more strawberries.
Serve and enjoy.
