1.) The Silly Yak Bakery (SYB) is now making CASEIN FREE (+GF) breads & bread
products. As usual, Holly will ship all over the U.S. The Casein Free items
are NOT on the online web bake schedule just yet - you have to call, speak to
Holly & place your order.
2.) GLUTEN FREE - Just an FYI that the July thru end of August GF Bake
Schedule has been posted on the website. However if you see something you like and
it's NOT on that week's Sched., fear not. Sometimes Holly & the crew have time
and bake additional popular items not on that week's bake. Example: The GF
Majestic Valley Sour Cream Coffeecake is in high demand. When in doubt, call
Holly & place your order or include the request in your e-mail order. Remember
that items in the immediate 5 state area are shipped via Spee-Dee delivery;
others go U.S. Priority Mail.
2a.) Go to www.sillyyakbakery.com (click GLUTEN FREE Products)
3.) I received requests for the GF Double Decker French Toast recipe; here it
is:
8 slices-SYB GF Cinnamon Swirl Bread
2 medium bananas; cut in 1/4" slices
1 cup milk
4 oz. softened cream cheese
3 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
3 Tbs of Holly's GF Flour Mix (*)
2 tsp. vanilla
Heat oven to 350 Deg. Place 4 slices of GF Cinnamon Swirl in a buttered 9"
baking dish. Top w/ banana slices and remaining 4 slices of GF Swirl. Blend
milk, cream cheese, eggs, sugar, flour, vanilla in a blender 'til smooth. Pour
over GF stack. Let stand 5 min. Bake 40-45 Min until set & top are toasted. Cut
GF French toast into diagonal halves & remove w/ a spatula. Dust w/ powdered
sugar if desired - ENJOY!
(*) use 3 Tbs of Bob's Red Mill Rice Flour if you don't have Holly's GF
mix
