Joe,
I understand your impatience. The call for resignations needs to be
justified, and so unlike Edie, I also believe because the elections are now
over, things must be put under intense scrutiny through our collective
efforts. Strategically, that exercise should not principally be about
apportioning blame, but rather about learning from what we individually
perceive as mistakes that were committed to the detriment of the effort to
unseat tyranny. Like many Gambians, I suppose, I have also been greatly
disappointed and even depressed by the outcome of the elections, eventhough
I expected an APRC victory. This lost opportunity was an expensive one.
I think the call for resignations is a relevant move, and my reasons for it
I will post to this list by the week-end. Until that time, let us hope as
you previously opined, that others also have something to say.
