I resent various Listserv members my Favorite Holiday Recipes, including
Green Bean Oregano. I am doing this recipe today and discovered an error in
the Cream Soup Mix. The amount of milk mix to combine was incorrect (in the
last paragraph). It should have been one-third, instead of one cup. I am so
sorry.
DRY CREAM SOUP MIX. This mix equals 9 cans of cream soup.
Combine and mix well:
Two cups nonfat dry milk
One cup cornstarch
2 Tablespoons dried onion flakes and
One-half teaspoon black pepper
(Mark mix ingredients and directions on the storage container.)
To make the equivalent of one can of condensed cream soup, combine
one-third cup milk mix and one and one-quarter cups water. Cook until thick.
Since this is fat free, it adds flavor to saute a chopped onion and/or
mushrooms in a little margarine or olive oil and add to the thickened soup.
