The insert simply says it should be less than 140 which I find rather vague.
It also indicates that normal fasting levels range between 70 and 99 but
like you, my doctor agrees that ideal fasting glucose levels should not be
above 80. I guess I can check with my doctor on a healthy post-meal level
next time I see him.

On my last blood test my fasting levels were finally down to about 85. I
experimented yesterday and here is what I found so far:

Pre-meal after not eating for 3.5 hours:	Lo (indicating hypoglycemia
according to the booklet)

1 hour after eating a porkchop, sautéed cabbage, coconut oil, and about 1/2
Tbs. of almond butter:	101

1 hour after eating chicken and cabbage and then a few bites of a "pancake"
made with instant oatmeal, water, and barley flour and topped with local
honey:	146

That last meal with the "pancake", which I ordinarily don't eat and just did
for an experiment, was around 7 PM last night. This morning my fasting
glucose is still 107.
