Dr Jaiteh,I like the ending of The Daily Observer's piece, but they should understand that HIV/AIDS is a matter of life and death now. Who cares about the vindication of history in such a situation? At some point it looked better not to render attention to all these garbage being spread around by Jammeh and his stoogies. We should all be comcerned incase some Gambians and other people start to think that since a cure is possible, why not this one? The Daily Observer piece is dangerous because it uses The Gambia/Senegal and East/ West or South/North divides to provide reasons for Jammeh's local and international critics. If President Jammeh is genuine, he should resign from the presidency and concentrate on making his "treatment" available to millions of people throughout the world. There is tremendous work to be done (if Jammeh is truthful), which to my mind, he cannot combine with his work as President of The Republic of The Gambia. As for your question, indeed we know the witches will go "jaffure" if they touch stuff that is way beyond them!Omar Joof.> Date: Fri, 23 Feb 2007 10:06:32 -0500> From: [log in to unmask]> Subject: Are the Witches gone "jaffur"?> To: [log in to unmask]> > Is this some "Buwa jaffur"/ "Doma bu jaffur" (confession of a witch) or > some sinister ploy to run Jammeh government and the Gambia into > self-distruct?
