You know, the older you get, the more of your friends that pass away. I
have had a half a dozen personal, and very close, friends who have died over
the last ten years. It's not very easy but fortunately, I have great
memories of these people. Unfortunately, a pastor friend of mine died a
year ago and we had not communicated for several years. He got miffed at me
over a letter I wrote him after he came to visit me in Denver, I had not at
that time seen him, or talked to him, for five years, and he tried signing
Sandy and I up for a multi level marketing deal he had gotten into. I found
out, via the internet, he died of a heart attack at only age 57 last year.
Although I have not spoken to him for probably a dozen years or more, his
death effected me in a way I wasn't planning for. So, Jen, and others, the
loss of friends is difficult but it is a part of life we have to face once
and awhile. With my pastor friend, I had prayed many times about calling
him and working things out but the Lord never gave me the go ahead and I
never called. I still miss him, though, even though we hadn't talked for
many long years before his death.
