Had to give this one some thought.
As far as immoral choices, I have to differenciate between condoning and
informing. For example, with abortion, I don't condone or condemn it.
However, I do inform people that there is also adoption, if they can't or
won't keep the child. I give them agencies that will talk to them about all
options. As far as homosexuality, I don't get that as much. HOwever, if
youth feel they are gay and want to explore that, I again give them a
variety of resources that will help explore whether or not to act on these
feelings.
Keep in mind that I can't bring up God or Christianity unless the client
does. Though i've not lead anyone to Christ, I have talked aobut the
importance of prayer as individuals adn a family. This is usually in cases
where a child is out of control. Also encourage use of the pastor and
church as supports.
