I have a Fujitsu Lifebook B2175 - 500mhz Celeron; 256mb RAM; 30Gb HD.
I upgraded the BIOS to Fujitsu 1.06. There is currently no OS on the HD. My other drive crashed and I had to get a new one (the old drive had XP Pro on it and it ran great). I reformatted the new one NTFS (I tried FAT32 and it did not make a difference with the install problem). The point of the 6 floppy disks is to get me to the point that I can use my XP Pro SP2 CDROM through PCMCIA. There is no utility in the BIOS for a CDROM (there is for a USB floppy) and even the BIOS upgrade doesn't add the utility. The URL that I was directed to deals with a computer that already has the CDROM in the unit and does not help with specific issue that I'm having. The article did, however, say there may be a conflict between XP Pro and the BIOS ACPI. How would I verify this?
