Assuming you are using cable select method of configuring hard
drives----verify that your new main drive is at the end of the ribbon cable
and that the backup drive is in the middle. This will enable you to see all
the data on the backup drive.
You can also put your crashed drive in the way (as slave) and view the date
on it if it spins and reads. Most crashed drives are caused by problems
with the registry and can be read by another master XP drive.
Good Luck to you on this frustrating problem.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Sharing Folders
I had to replace my HD when it crashed. I have a backup, but can't
access the owner files. I had this problem before, but don't have access
to the file that has the information.
So how do I get access to my owner files on my backup HD?
I'm using WinXP2 on an HP computer.
Thanks.
