Greetings--
Excellent suggestions. Thank-you. I currently have a 3-partition drive w/ XP Pro, Vista Business, and Data. My intent is to move the data to other disks, then wipe all partitions for a clean Win7 Ultimate install, inserting the Vista Business install disk when prompted. The image of the current configuration prior to "surgery", though, is also a good idea.

You will have no problem upgrading the Vista 32bit to Windows Home
Premium 7 64bit dual boot or clean install. I have done this. You
will not be asked for any disks.
What you can not do is upgrade an in place 32 bit OS to a 64 bit
OS. You must create a new partition for Windows 7 64 bit as you can
not install it in the same partition as Vista 32 bit unless you
completely remove Vista 32 bit. [content deleted]
