Posting this was amazing I learned a lot. I talked to Wal-Marts frozen
foods manager and he assured me they will be stocking them at our store
for 1.86. So the idea is to take an empty box to your store and get them
to carry them. Here are most of the replies.

I just wanted to thank you for making this suggestion on the celiac list.
We
tried it yesterday (roast beef/waffle sandwich) and wow! As my daughter
says, it's "crazy delicious."
>
I'll try them--I can do soy flour, thankfully. Thanks for the great tip!

Say, we just tried Amy's rice crust cheese pizza, added a little more
cheese, cooked it on a pizza stone, and it was AWESOME. I had to ask my
health food store that carries Amy's stuff to order it in and they did. Add
some GF toppings and it would really be terrific.

Who would've thought!! Kudos to your wife.

I will tell you, though, that I almost always have gluten reactions
to Vans waffles (I am assuming from cross-contamination)
>
They sell them at our 32nd street commissary too!
>
Do you have any stores near you that sell Kinninnick breads? If not, you
can
order from their website. They make sliced bread that is the best we've
had.
>
We use the Trader Joe's frozen waffles for peanut butter and fluff and
they make great breakfast sandwiches too.
>
Have been making Van's gf waffle sandwiches for at least 5 years! They are
especially great for travel since they don't tear or fall apart........
>
Thank you for your idea. My ShopRite carries Van's & I always have it in
my freezer.
>
I take
them to cookouts to use as a hamburger bun! (Great idea)
