Subject: Prayer Request

Well, here we are practically staring Fall semester in the face.
So, thinking I better get one more class toward my piece of paper, I looked
at the schedule. Couldn't find anything that fit my schedule. In the
process I learned that my placement exam for the required math course was
about to run out. Now they have changed the placement exam, and if I had to
take it again, the likelihood of me passing it would be slim to none. It is
advanced Algebra, the placement test is, I mean. No one can explain why,
because it doesn't relate to the required math class at all. If I failed
that, I'd have to go to a community college and take 3 semesters of
pre-college math. Since I'm paying for my own education, I don't want that
expense. Those classes would actually count for nothing and then I'd still
have to take the placement test and the required class. The last placement
exam I took, I'm sorry to say, I passed by only one point. What all this
means is that I really have to take the class this semester or go through
the above mentioned cost, extending my school time more, and increasing my
cost as well as my agony. But here's the deal with the class. The time
that I can take it requires me to travel to another campus. Transportation
is an issue. Once I accomplish getting needed transportation, then there is
the question of course materials and how to take it. I don't know Math
Braille. I know God is bigger than all these obstacles. On the
transportation, it's two busses from work in an unfamiliar area. Plus I
would have to make it in a timely manner. And I'd simply have to have a
ride home as the class ends too late to bus it. So, your prayers are once
again requested.

And if any of you have any ideas as to how I can actually get through the
class and achieve a passing mark, you can write me off list. Math just
isn't my forte, especially having had it hundreds of years ago.
