Dear Loving EChurch family,
I am totally furious.
I had Vernon pack up a package for me, and he took it to the post
office to mail yesterday. This package has been properly labeled,
and packed, to mail to a dear blind friend, free matter for the
blind. It is being done in a legal mannor, and it has the words:
"free matter for the blind and physically handicapped" on it. It
contains a braille book in 3 volumes.
This post master who has worked for the US Postice office for 23
years is questioning me. Now, she wants proof of my friend's
blindness. I do not have to provide that information for her. I'm
totally mad, and I told her I have never ever been questioned in my
entire life. I told her she better read the laws, and that I'm not
doing anything illegal. I told her I was going to contact her
supervisor, or the head of the US Post office Department.
She should have the laws there available to her.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what I should do, please let me know.
I know that praying about this situation is the best, also, so I will
pray and ask God for knowledge and patience.
If anyone has the US Post office laws that cover this, please let me
know where I can get them on line.
Thanks much.
Love and Blessings,
Pat Ferguson
