Coptic Christians are Egyptian Christians. They were converted by St Mark
who wrote the first synoptic (Presenting or taking the same point of view;
used especially of the first three gospels of the New Testament). I don't
of course mean the first gospel to appear in the bible. Rather I mean the
first ever written after the ascension of our Lord.
