Subject: BibleCourier Talking Bible

Dear Phil Scovell,
Here is an update on the digital talking Bible. There have been a few
changes at LBEA with regard to the talking Bibles since you received a Road
Runner unit from us. LBEA no longer handles the Road Runner Bible. We have
undertaken a special quantity production of a similar and we feel a better
quality talking Bible unit for distribution through LBEA. The new talking
Bible is called BibleCourier and the good news is that we have just received
shipment of this new production so we have in stock with no waiting (except
for the postal service to deliver the Bible to the end user)! Below is
information about the Bible and how to order them from LBEA.

Sincerely,
Rev. Dennis Hawkinson

WHAT IS THE BIBLECOURIER?
* The BibleCourier is a small electronic text reading device that allows
you to read the Bible anywhere and at anytime you desire without being
connected to a computer.
* The BibleCourier weighs just four ounces including a pair of double A
(AA) alkaline batteries which will power the unit for up to 40 hours of
continuous reading.
* The BibleCourier is about the size of a standard audio cassette and
about one inch thick. The BibleCourier is very portable and small enough to
easily fit in a shirt pocket or a purse.
* The BibleCourier memory contains the full text of the sixty six books of
the Old and New Testament in a digital format. There is also an on board
users guide to help you learn how to use the twelve buttons on the front of
the BibleCourier. These buttons are arranged much like a telephone keypad
with a raised dot above the five key to help you locate the proper key for
swiftly navigating through the books, chapters and verses of your digital
Bible. Each key will also announce its functions when held down until two
beeps are heard.
* The BibleCourier uses the DoubleTalk speech synthesizer computer chip to
generate a clear synthetic voice to read the text of the Bible to you.
There are five voices to select from and you can adjust the speed and volume
of the reading as well as the pitch of the selected voice. You listen
through a set of stereo earbuds which are provided with the Bible or you may
use an external amplified speaker (not included) for group or personal
listening.
* The BibleCourier has many other features including the ability to set
unlimited book marks within the text, the ability to have unclear words
spelled, and the capability to power search among the books, chapters, and
verses of the Bible. A footnote feature may be enabled which will allow any
related notes to be read in a higher pitch at the appropriate place in the
text (not all Bible versions will contain footnotes). There is even a sleep
timer which can be set to turn off the reading after a specified amount of
time in order to conserve battery power.

WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU ORDER A BIBLECOURIER:
* The Talking BibleCourier unit manufactured by Springer Design, Inc.
* One set of Double A Alkaline batteries installed.
* A set of earbud style stereo headphones.
* The King James Version or a modern translation of the Bible text
installed.
* A Quick Start Cassette instructional Tape.
* A 90 day warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

HOW TO ORDER A BIBLECOURIER
* The retail price of the BibleCourier would be $159.00 or more plus
shipping charges.
