In my opinion I would go with a combo of paper and cd's/dvd roms.  The 
thing you need to remember with cds/dvds is that you need to store them 
right.  Keep them out of direct sunlight.  Sunlight causes them to 
degrade a lot faster because it can cause them
to melt, and disrupt how a laser reads them.  Nothing lasts forever, 
even floppies.  If you have a lot to store you can also go to a tape 
drive back up.  But those are more for businesses.  Just a thought.
