Thanks Bob, Your links pointed me to the "killer" answer.
There is NO GeForce  mx4000
(even though it is listed lots of places...)

What I have (based on the specs) seems to be a GeForce4 MX4000

That seems to make it a pretty good card, (but not for Vista...)
