Ken,
According to the MIB, I still have hydrocephalus, although I haven't had a
shunt for over 29 years. With the MRI I had in December, I might be able to
get that changed, if I have my neurologist write a letter and append the MRI
results. If you want more of the gory details, write me off-list. Because
MIB still shows me as hydrocephalic, when I got life insurance 8 years ago,
I ended up paying $59.00/month for $28, 000.00 of coverage. If I live to be
65, I'll pay $19,116.00 in premiums, and the company will probably make
about that much in investment interest off the premiums,or more, giving them
a rather tidy profit of $11,000.00 and change.
So even though the MIB can access most (if not all) of your medical records,
it doesn't mean they, or the insurance companies that use them, pay
attention to the totality of those records
