Hello, Mary Katherine,

I agree with Ken - you do not need to self-diagnose yourself as it
could be quite dangerous - what if you're completely wrong and end up
dangerously self-medicating yourself? Granted, CP is best treated at
an early age and at the age of 37 you're coming into it rather late,
but I think you'd be far better off getting a firm diagnosis.

Just so you know, both of my sisters are rather clumsy but neither of
them consider themselves as disabled, nor have they ever considered
they might have CP - I suppose that with a CP sister, they know it's
very unlikely they do as they don't really exhibit symptoms of CP.

Also, I agree with Mag in that I think you're labelling yourself in a
negative way. I have CP and am in a wheelchair because I wore out
my hip joints but I don't consider myself disabled and never have.
It's all how in you see yourself and the world, I suppose. If
someone tells me I'm disabled, I just stop and stare and them -
unnerves 'em every time! ;)

Kat
