Hi.

I have the advantage of using both at work and teaching both, so I can go
back and forth pretty easily. I like the scripting capabilities of JAWS,
but if it weren't for that I probably would have ditched them last year. I
definitely think Window-Eyes' support for Office 2003 walks all over JAWS,
if for no other reason, than for not having to do screen refreshes every
time I turn around.

But, I do like the ability to write scripts for third party apps, and there
are some pretty slick things that you can do with JAWS scripting that just
aren't possible with Window-Eyes in any way shape or form.

As far as the SMA goes, I think there is a trust thing there that you are
confident that if you pay for future upgrades, that the upgrades are going
to be worth buying. As a customer, I feel that Freedom Scientific has
violated that trust with some of the stuff they've released, and now I want
to see it work before I make the decision to shell out for another upgrade.
