the 708 I'm pretty sure will do cross band, but the control head is separate 
from the radio and can't be attached that I know of. that may work for you, 
but for me that's about the stupidest thing ever if the control head can't 
be put on the front of the radio and has to be separate, in a mobile 
installation it works out, but not in the house.
