Butch, I called them.
It does ac and dc voltage, amperage, resistance, continuity, and
capacitance.
There is a speak button on the meter itself but there's also one in the
positive
probe. If you get the probes backward for dc voltage it just gives you a
minus
reading. It also shows dead shorts and open circuits. hile settings don't
talk
when you set the meter to tell you which they're on, if you push either of
the
talk buttons it will tell you.
It takes three AA batteries to run it. Its construction is a plastic case
but
its fairly heavy. Probes can unplug from the meter and have needle ends.
I'm
going to call to see if clamps are available for use with the meter. The
cables
on the probes are about a foot long. There is also a builtin stand that
pulls
out of the back of the meter to set it upright.
