Richard,
The ts-480 uses an annoyingly different plug for dc power. They further
more use a smaller connector for the amplifier. Up to this point Kenwood
always kept the plug configuration and amplifier keying the same. My
ts-480sat went down the road but it was due to the audio amplifier in the
receiver. The accessibility of the ts-480 is better than anything going out
there so one needs to consider all aspects before purchasing one.
