the cable has a converter built in, so you can't just make one up easily.
the din plug on the end is a regular ps2 connecter like the ones used for
computer keyboards.
However, the converter, which is a level converter is probably built into
the 25 pin connecter and  it requires a couple of chips, some caps and
resistors.
