Hi Rich;

As long as we are discussing cassette recorders, I think I'm just going to 
forget this digital format entirely and find a three head cassette deck and 
jack it into my stereo system.

Do you know if an inexpensive one is still be made?

Heck vcr's are cheap enough, that might work also.
