I was recently diagnosed with Celiac's. What an adjustment for a
pasta-loving, beer-guzzling guy nearing 60!

Having survived (and unknowingly suffered) on a "healthy" breakfast of
oats each morning, I'm searching for a good healthy breakfast
alternative. I've been mixing my own cold cereal mix: corn chex, rice
chex, peanuts, sunflower seeds, coconut, and honey. However, I've
discovered that the chex cereals contain barley malt extract, a no-no
right?

BTW: I have been treated for a number of years for anemia by two
oncologists. I've been bled, poked, and jabbed (two bone marrow
ordeals). Since on a G-F diet, my blood numbers have improved
significantly. My Cleveland Clinic doctor is thrilled with my
improvement and apologized that he had not suspected/found the Celiac
connection. A gastro enterologist (sp.?) diagnosed me.
