Flying leaflets at dead silence
By Yero Jallow
A day without you
Silence like the grave
Not a word or two from your leaflets
That indeed is a loud tearing cry
When next do we see you again?
Perhaps in a day or two.
O yaw crawling calf with ease
I wore my glasses flipping your pages
That didn’t respond at all
So I changed my glasses thinking
My vision has been impaired
But you responded the same over again.
I came to faith that men do die
So nothing is immortal on earth
Just like the healthy get sick and heal
So the horns of the cow will sharpen again
To sword the angry master with arrows.
While you are asleep
Sleep well till we see again soon
When the news will cheer and roar
To fill the heavenly inhabited earth
Of the ‘death back to life.’
