Has anyone encountered a problem with gluten and dried beans? We are desperately trying to figure out the source of my son's continued gluten exposure. We have searched very diligently (we have a g-f house, call manufacturers about everything, are vigilant about cross-contamination, etc. etc etc) and can't figure out why his antibody levels aren't declining (it's been ten months and they are still very high). I once picked up a package of Goya dried lentils and the package said, "May contain wheat". I don't buy those and none of the cans or bags of beans I buy say that they contain any gluten ingredients. But I'm wondering, is there any possibility of cross-contamination in navy beans, kidney beans, black beans, etc? We're vegetarians and eat beans almost every day. I am not looking for the source of his discomfort because the antibody levels make it clear that the source is continued gluten exposure. If anyone has had any experience relevant to this, I would really appreciate your feedback.
Many thanks,
Elizabeth
