Hi,
I have been gluten free for almost 2 years and follow the diet very strictly. If I eat out, it is only at places that have a gluten free menu or have been recommended that know the diet. However, sometimes I feel even with all my efforts I'm still not feeling the best that I should. I have read that enzymes help a great deal and am looking into taking them - I have heard of Kirkman Labs and Enzymatic that include everything which seems to work best for most. Does anyone have any advice on these? My main problem is bloating.
Also, I recently read someone taking Veratrum Alb when eating out so if there is possible cross contamination effects would be reduced - what exactly is that? I searched on the internet and didn't find much info. As of now, if I eat out I drink tonic water before I go to sleep since I read that's a way to lessen effects. Its usually hard for me to tell if I get glutened and what it's from b/c my reactions start about 2 days later and last for about 2 weeks, mainly excessive bloating/distended abdomen and very uncomfortable.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help,
Kristin, NYC
