Thanks to all who replied to my inquiry about eating at Wrigley Field.
Here is what people said:
- peanuts are OK
- you can bing in food as long as it it in a small (less then 16X16X8),
softsided bag or cooler
- one person called and got permission ahead of time to bring a large
cooler full of food/drinks and were treated well (taken in an elavator up
to their seats!).
- one person suggested that a Lou Malnati's pizza that has a sausage crust
might be nearby, but I checked and the closest location is about a mile
south of Wrigley.
Here is my experience:
We went on Friday and it was a lovely day in Chicago! We sat in the upper
deck on the third base side and could see Lake Michigan. I ate a snack
before we got there and took a few of my homemade GF muffins along in my
purse, just in case, but did not end up eating them. I had a box of
popcorn and a diet pepsi, then a plastic cup of pretty nasty white wine (I
am not really a beer drinker, but at the ball park, you really feel left
out if you can't have one!). I also had a handful of peanuts.
And best of all the Cubs won!
Thanks again,
Pam in IL
