Hello,
Does anyone have information about inflammation in the form of lab tests that include positive ANA (anti-nuclear antibody); high level of C-Reactive Protein (related to inflammation in the body, also related to heart disease), and high level of homocysteine (also related to heart disease.)
Does anyone experience heart problems or disease that they think is related to their CD? I have been diagnosed with CD for about 4 years, have been GF, have fibromyalgia, chronic pain, stiffness & fatigue that improved with GF diet, but is not completely gone.
In Feb, I started having chest pain, positive exercise stress test (am 52 year old female) and ended up getting an angiogram. My heart has a defect, left coronary artery has 3 branches instead on 1 main branch , however the arterial walls are "smooth." No plaque.
Now I am on nito patches. My doc sees this as a separate issue, but I think it is connected to CD. The CRP & homocysteine are dietary types of problems.
Anyone who also experiences this, or has info. please respond. Thanks a bunch. I love finding this site. Don't feel so all alone anymore.
Maren
