For those of you who think you have this, or who have had a sudden flare and
don't know why, or have friends with an itchy rash, you might better look at
this site on Splenda/sucralose reactions.  A number of people turned up with
itchy rashes, one had had it for two years.  Another said that the Splenda
seemed to make them react more to other foods.  What horrifies me is that
ordinary people who don't have to read labels may not have a clue that
