Thyroid folks:
In response to someone's post regarding the original study of Synthroid
which prompted the class action suit, I got on Medline (the medical
database from the National Library of Medicine in the USA) and tried to
find the citation. I used the 1987 date in Ballew's last post about the
suit as a guide and here is what I found. Please keep in mind that I
DON'T KNOW if ANY of these are the correct study!!! And, of course, they
are NOT the latest information -- they are a reflection of what was going
on around 1983-89 since, as I said, I used the 1987 date as a guidline in
my search.
Also, this may look like Greek to many of you who are not familiar with
how to read Medline citations. If you have any questions about that, let
me know or just take this to your local medical library and ask them to
help you find the articles.
Cheers,
Karen
