Just so you know, my eyes also reacted like yours after my RAI treatment.
VERY gritty/sandy/watery. It drove me crazy. I couldn't read, work on the
computer etc.  It took close to a year for them to 'clear' up.  I haven't
had any problems with them since.  The endo I saw about my Graves, told me
that usually the eye problems (bulging) with Graves occur well in the
beginning of the disease, and if you haven't had it happen then, that the
chances of it happening later are very slight.

Hope you get some comfort soon.  I know what it's like :)
