 >When I met him, I got the "party line" (TSH test is the

That's what they said in Canada when they attacked Dr. Derry. They said
thyroid meds were like Speed, and how the patient felt didn't really matter, it
was the blood chemistry being correct that was important.

If you want some support for your levels, Dr. Lowe who wrote the thousand
page book "The Metabolic Treatment of Fibromyalgia" said many of his fibro
patients, particularly ones who had normal thyroid levels to begin with, had
cellular restistance to thyroid hormone and they needed to take up to 175 mcg of
Cytomel (taken once daily) and a good percentage of them would get better on that
regiment.

Your 175 mcg isn't necessarily the same as taken 175 mcg of Cytomel. Dr.
Lowe did some testing of the potency of the compounded T3 and found that much of
it didn't come close to the stated potency. (I don't know how they test
that, but Wilson reported it wasn't unusual to find that someone would get better
on his treatment when the patient was switched to SRT3 that came from a
particular pharmacy that did it right.

Dr. Lowe has a lot of interesting info in this regard on his website.

Of course the lipid panel was good. When the endocrine system is bad, the
cholesterol probably elevates because the systems that cause cholesterol to turn
into adrenal hormones and Vitamin D aren't working properly. Many patients
have an increase in their cortisol and other adrenal hormones once their
thyroid gets treated. This likely means that more cholesterol is being utilized.

That being said, cholesterol isn't as evil as the doctors say, and having low
cholesterol, I know I would rather not.

As for the HemoglobinA1C, Dr. Richard Alford commented on the fact that his
sugar level was higher than normal because his thyroid was treated and that was
not uncommon. There were no consequences from it, just a fact. It goes
along with Barnes' concept that none of his diabetic patients ever suffered the
complications that diabetes causes.

Yes, the medical establishment and the government (isn't that why they
require prescriptions?) want you to feel like a little child. They want you to take
the medicine as your doctor thinks is in YOUR best interest.

Some element in the government is tired of doctors getting sued for lots of
money, pharmaceutical companies that met FDA approval having to worry about
punitive damages, and anyone being able to sue for damages caused by vaccines,
and are trying to entice us into buying into the scheme by telling us it'll
lower our health care costs just like seatbelts and mandatory insurance lower our
car insurance rates. I'd rather not know about the mental health initiative
that wants to check the mental health of every school age child, pregnant
woman, and infant in America and medicate accordingly. Pregnant women and mental
health. how do they measure that, if their husband is not in fear of his life,
there's something wrong iwth her?

I used to think I was too paranoid about the medical profession. But
someone told me, "Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean you are paranoid
enough." Unfortunately, I think he was right.

I know only know the names of 2 doctors outside the USA who treated
hypothyroidism. When Dr. Durrant-Peatfield was attacked by the ruling medical powers
in the UK, and then about two weeks after that ended Dr. Derry was told he had
a preliminary hearing in Canada, with the medical powers there, I was
wondering if I was too paranoid about what was happening in medicine. How could there
be an internationacl conspiracy? (And, how could the only two doctor's names
outside the USA that I know both be attacked so close together, and those
doctors had published on the Internet information that I use for my family.)
But, then there was a provision stuck into the Homeland Security Act at the last
minute, a provision that might still be there except either the outroar from
the public, or from a congressman who felt his child was damaged by a vaccine
demanded it be repealed. I didn't hear the outroar, maybe it was loud. If
not, it was only one congressman and his persuasion that repealed the bill that
made vaccine manufacuters exempt from product liability.

Something is going on in this country. I don't know who controls it, but the
current secretary of defense happens to be former CEO of the drug company
that forced the FDA to permit nutrasweet on the market. And the father of the
current president happened to be on the board of directors of a drug company /
vaccine manufacturer, Eli Lilly.

Yes, there are reasons our medical costs have sky rocketed and yet we get
inferior care.

You are an adult, and if you leave it to them won't be as healthy as you
might be otherwise. They may not be morons, if they're not then they are
something much worse that reeks of conspiracy.

Yes, I remember that costochondritis well. In 1981 when I was running I was
wondering if I was having a heart attack. That's my earliest memory of it,
but it kept getting more annoying until around 2000 when both my thyroid and
adrenals were adequately treated. I had lots of pains like that which I was
simply used to ignoring. Not uncommon for hypos to become real wimps when they
start to get better. It's like their brain turned on and realized there was
pain.

Skipper
