Hello-

I was just diagnosed with hypothyroid 2 weeks ago and
was put on Levoxyl. I'm starting to wonder if I
wasn't better off before. Before I was diagnosed I
was always exhausted and had gained 20 pounds in 6
months while exercising for 45-60 minutes 5 times a
week and eating well. They tested my thyroid and my
TSH was 8 so they started me on the medication. The
day I started taking Levoxyl I had a panic attack, got
really sweaty, and had a hard time breathing while I
was cleaning my daughter's room.

Since then, the panicky feeling has gone away, but I
am peeing every hour, am exceptionally thirsty, and
gained 6 pounds literally overnight. I also have bad
headaches and get out of breath with normal everyday
activities. Also, my eyes feel swollen and are sore
and blurry.

I know this isn't the place for medical advice and I
go back to see my Dr tomorrow, but has anyone else had
these symptoms? Do they go away? Am I crazy?
