John,
It's not even really based on anything biblical. It does take some
from the Gospel of Thomas and the gospel of Judas, but otherwise, the
rest of it is total fabrication. Actually, most biblical scholars
would agree that the two gospels that I mentioned are also
fabrication, which I would agree with, but, oh well.
