Subject: Speaking Of Communion

We joined a new church. One Sunday, the pastor announced we would be having
communion. Our kids were young then but old enough to get what was going
on. This church gave communion by families. When you walked up, a pastor
would hand you a community cup. A great big one. It was used, by the way,
just for that family and that family alone. It took two hands to hold. I
took a sip and handed it to Sandy. She thought she was supposed to drink
the whole thing and so she tried, which would have been impossible, without
taking all weekend that is, and suddenly, my oldest son said, Mom, what are
you doing. She stopped drinking and said, Oh, I thought we were supposed to
drink the whole thing. It really embarrassed Sandy so she probably really
likes me telling these stories about her.

Phil.
